Another hauntingly brilliant entry from Via, the creator of one of my favourite games of all time here, (Don’t) Open Your Eyes.
radio.Signal is also simple in concept, and as such, benefits immensely from its multiple playthroughs (or at least, save-scumming to get all the endings, which i felt incredibly motivated to do). Especially due to the subtle hints to the hidden final “Basement” ending, and how to unlock it - and it revealing an integrated, devlog-style reflection on the game that actually made me enjoy and appreciate it even more by understanding the dev’s perspective on the thought process behind making it… was phenomenal.
Even without this “final” ending; all in all, terrific writing, meditative and psychologically ominous content, visually striking CGs and very fitting music & SFX. A thorough, satisfying, all-around chill.
The point of this game is that the MC is an awful person, with a manipulative narrator-friend who encourages him. It shows a different perspective to a problem. I'm guessing you didn't play until the hidden ending, but the creator pointed out that they wanted to try something different.
Just wanted to say i liked both of your games, a little sad that you haven't yet made more but looking forward to them if you ever do. Thanks for the short but lovely experience.
God this game had me tearing up towards the end but not because of the voice (Manipulative asshole) pleading and trying to guilt trip us. It was more because I felt genuinely bad for our character, the woman in the hospital, and our first sin. All of those casualties and the MC's life turning bad could've been avoided if they had just never met the voice in the first place!
I was almost moved to tears just seeing our character finally learn forgiveness and tune out their abuser's voice. It was extremely satisfying muting his voice during my last playthrough and not having to worry about hearing him again. You definitely need to make another game! 10/10!
Okay but let me talk about the voice.I used to hate the voice at first because he was an as*h*le. But once I heard him plead. I felt SO bad. It was really touching. Because all he wanted was just someone like him. A "monster". He doesnt see the good in himself and he doesnt want that his only friend (the only person who relates to him) does change and see the good in him. Overall I truly loved this game. Also the fact that bird will forgive you once you apologize. Love this game.
I finished all of the available endings and this is, genuinely, an amazing experience. Especially when one considers it was made in only 30 days. Wonderful work as always! I adore horror that leaves some important questions; the scariest things can often be found within your imagination.
Dude, this game is SO good.It reminds me of Markheim, by Robert Louis Stevenson. I just love the ending, and how you presented the story, the character and the hospital.
Also, great soundtrack! I really loved the piano music, and I really think it changes the game. The hospital could look like a scenery for a horror movie, but the soundtrack makes it look kinda beautiful.

This is so good. The voice actor for this is so good i almost cried listening to him plead. It made me kind of attached to him. It feels like he's so desperate to have someone to share his troubles with, someone alike him, that he goes against everything to keep you with him. He feels he can never be better, so you trying to change crushes him and he'll do anything to prevent it. I relate to that a lot. Not in a killing people kinda way, but you know. That's what i like about this game, you leave enough for interpretation that anyone can find something to relate to or just enjoy. Also i feel you would be so dang good at writing uhealthy romantic relationship visual novels and i wanna see that, but whatever you do make, i'm definitely sticking around to play it. Great job!!!

For some reason the voice audio stopped. Even if I restart the game, or delete and redownload I can't hear the voice anymore. Is there a setting I accidently changed?

Another hauntingly brilliant entry from Via, the creator of one of my favourite games of all time here, (Don’t) Open Your Eyes.
radio.Signal is also simple in concept, and as such, benefits immensely from its multiple playthroughs (or at least, save-scumming to get all the endings, which i felt incredibly motivated to do). Especially due to the subtle hints to the hidden final “Basement” ending, and how to unlock it - and it revealing an integrated, devlog-style reflection on the game that actually made me enjoy and appreciate it even more by understanding the dev’s perspective on the thought process behind making it… was phenomenal.
Even without this “final” ending; all in all, terrific writing, meditative and psychologically ominous content, visually striking CGs and very fitting music & SFX. A thorough, satisfying, all-around chill.
It was ok until I found out we're playing as a man who beats women. Yawn. Next.
Just gonna have to defend the author here and say it's worth being on the side of the literature here—the story is a great one.
The point of this game is that the MC is an awful person, with a manipulative narrator-friend who encourages him. It shows a different perspective to a problem. I'm guessing you didn't play until the hidden ending, but the creator pointed out that they wanted to try something different.

God this game had me tearing up towards the end but not because of the voice
(Manipulative asshole)pleading and trying to guilt trip us. It was more because I felt genuinely bad for our character, the woman in the hospital, and our first sin. All of those casualties and the MC's life turning bad could've been avoided if they had just never met the voice in the first place!I was almost moved to tears just seeing our character finally learn forgiveness and tune out their abuser's voice. It was extremely satisfying muting his voice during my last playthrough and not having to worry about hearing him again. You definitely need to make another game! 10/10!

Okay but let me talk about the voice.I used to hate the voice at first because he was an as*h*le. But once I heard him plead. I felt SO bad. It was really touching. Because all he wanted was just someone like him. A "monster". He doesnt see the good in himself and he doesnt want that his only friend (the only person who relates to him) does change and see the good in him. Overall I truly loved this game. Also the fact that bird will forgive you once you apologize. Love this game.
I finished all of the available endings and this is, genuinely, an amazing experience. Especially when one considers it was made in only 30 days. Wonderful work as always! I adore horror that leaves some important questions; the scariest things can often be found within your imagination.

Also, great soundtrack! I really loved the piano music, and I really think it changes the game. The hospital could look like a scenery for a horror movie, but the soundtrack makes it look kinda beautiful.

This is so good. The voice actor for this is so good i almost cried listening to him plead. It made me kind of attached to him. It feels like he's so desperate to have someone to share his troubles with, someone alike him, that he goes against everything to keep you with him. He feels he can never be better, so you trying to change crushes him and he'll do anything to prevent it. I relate to that a lot. Not in a killing people kinda way, but you know. That's what i like about this game, you leave enough for interpretation that anyone can find something to relate to or just enjoy. Also i feel you would be so dang good at writing uhealthy romantic relationship visual novels and i wanna see that, but whatever you do make, i'm definitely sticking around to play it. Great job!!!
