i find it very hard to mix suspense and psychological horror, or at least to really conect with the story and feel the fear and discomfort that the genre promises; but this game was all of that and even more! it was so personal and sensitive, def one of my favorite games i found on itch.io!

well fuck you too bro-

This experience resonated differently with me. I felt like I was creating my own inner demon, and the end result confirmed that for me. I don't know if that's what you all were going for, but I completely related to my monster by the end of this. Great game. I hope to see more horror visual novels in the future.

It should be called "The Pulsating Skin" but other than that i freaking love i

this game is pretty creepy and also a little sad BUT the voice acting is really phenomenal and totally sells you on the atmosphere. the art style is simple but really works. all in all probably one of the best visual novels i played this/last year even if its only about an hour long. try it out

I had misgivings about this game, but after watching a partial playthrough on Krinx TV I knew I had to try out some of the other routes.  This is SUBLIME as horror.  I love games that go the extra mile to be unsettling without resorting to cheap gross-outs.  The Creature manages to strike a perfect balance between being pitiable and being scary, and that really helps it stay emotionally engaging.  The pacing was darn near perfect, too-- the Creature's monologue was enthralling, not too short to make an impact but not to long to overstay its welcome.  Next time I have money to throw around I'm definitely throwing some of it your way-- and I encourage everybody reading this to do the same.  I'd love it if you'd keep making games with an atmosphere like this.

I LUV THIS

goooood!!!

Really great game, I'm so hapy to see someone take advantage of the Visual Novel format to create such a unique experience.

edit: just finished the game and oooof, the end, it gave me the chills, perfect game.

This game made me extremely uncomfortable... and I loved it! I only managed to get one ending in this video, but it was a great experience. Genuinely great writing in this game! Here's my playthrough:

Amazing game has a lot of story to it and a point to play and it has more than 3 endings. 10/10

Awesome just awesome! I loved the dialogue, the voice acting and the build up tension till the end. A headphones only must experience for all. Before I leave why don't you open your eyes... ;-) Hope to see more in the future!

I love this game, it has such a cool premise and all of the dialogue options with the creature (which I have now so lovingly dubbed Echo) are really interesting and I feel like everyone can relate to at least one of the things he says in some way. Feeling like you have no place, trying to get something that seems just out of reach, not wanting to be judged but wanting to be seen, keeping so many things you don't need simply because you can (Less seriously, I think every gamer can relate to that last one, am I right?)

But seriously, I love how you never actually see the creature, after all a classic phrase in horror is that whatever you see in your head will always be 1000x more scary than what is actually there. That fear of the unknown really adds a lot.

This is an amazing experience that manages to be eerie with a weird sense of familiarity to it. Felt almost as if I was the one that didn't belong there, that was intruding. And the voice actor was great, really added a certain atmosphere to it. I'd definitely recommend you guys to quit reading the comments and actually play the game if you haven't already, dammit!

This was so well made!! The voice actor was incredible, and I really found myself hanging onto every word. I honestly took a lot of what they said to heart, analyzing where I may have been projecting, and thinking about why I chose certain options. It's such a complex creature that I honestly would have loved to learn more about. Although perhaps, maybe that mystery is what's so alluring. Anyways, incredible game!!! Great music, great story, great art, everything <3

It takes some real talent to let that fear linger after the game has ended.

This is a beautiful game !! the art is fantastic and I love the music. It was very nice to interpret the creature yourself

pretty good game ya got her

For anyone looking for the background music from the game, I found it!! It's called "Computations in a Snowstorm" by Scott Buckley, which can be found on his website here: https://www.scottbuckley.com.au/library/?s=computations+in+a+snowstorm

that its best game i played ( 10Million stars)

I recently Streamed this game and my viewers had very mixed reactions, they either really liked the voice and being or they really did not and had like a gut reaction to him. This was my second time playing and I had a great time. I recommend it to anyone who wants to try a new short horror story game.

fucking love this game

I really wanna play this game, its got a really good rep. But when I download it, it doesn't download the .exe, the game itself doesn't download; just the files to run the .exe and literally everything else: sound fx, backgrounds, coding. Does anybody else have this problem? Do you know how I could fix this?

F.Y.I. I'm having similar problems with any game I download from itch.io

Do you have an anti-virus software on your computer? It may be responsible for removing executables.

amazing, i would love to see more games like this

Absolute brilliance. I Love it! I wish there was more!

This is just brilliant. This is like an more poetic, better voiced look at what goes on in my head when I try to sleep. The way it skitters from one anxious thought to another. How self-destructive and pointless those thoughts are, how they don't help, but how I can't (won't?) stop them.

The voice acting is superb, the drawings beautiful and terrifying, the atmosphere gorgeous, and the shift from what the room looks like when your eyes are open vs when your eyes are closed is a brilliant touch.

Just an amazingly tight and well done game.
